1. STATUTORY & LEGAL COMPLIANCE NOTICE
CLINICAL & LEGAL DISCLAIMER: This instrument is an advanced, institutional-grade legal document designed to grant broad fiduciary powers regarding financial, administrative, and legal matters upon attaining majority (age 18). State laws governing powers of attorney vary significantly regarding statutory forms, witnessing requirements, notarization mandates, and healthcare-specific delegations. This document is drafted to comply generally with the Uniform Power of Attorney Act (UPOAA). However, the Principal and Agent are strongly advised to verify local jurisdictional requirements. Execution of this document revokes prior financial powers of attorney unless explicitly stated otherwise herein.

THE PRINCIPAL: [Client Full Legal Name], an individual whose primary residence and domicile is located at [Principal Address] (hereinafter referred to as the "Principal").
THE AGENT (ATTORNEY-IN-FACT): [Agent Full Legal Name], whose address is [Agent Address], and whose telephone number is [Agent Telephone Number] (hereinafter referred to as the "Agent").
SUCCESSOR AGENT (ALTERNATE): In the event that the primary Agent is unwilling, unable, or legally disqualified to serve, the Principal hereby appoints [Successor Agent Full Legal Name], whose address is [Successor Agent Address], as first successor Agent.

The Agent is designated as an authorized user and personal representative for all digital asset repositories.
SECTION 3: DURABILITY PROVISION

SECTION 6: COMPENSATION AND REIMBURSEMENT
The Agent shall serve without compensation for services rendered pursuant to this instrument. However, the Agent shall be entitled to immediate reimbursement from the Principal’s funds for all reasonable, necessary, and documented out-of-pocket expenses incurred in the execution of fiduciary duties hereunder.
SECTION 7: RESIGNATION OF AGENT
The Agent may resign by giving written notice to the Principal, or if the Principal is incapacitated, to the successor Agent named herein, and to any guardian, conservator, or fiduciary currently acting on behalf of the Principal. Such resignation shall take effect upon the delivery of such notice or at a subsequent date specified therein.
SECTION 8: GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
This instrument, and all questions concerning its construction, validity, interpretation, and enforcement, shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of [State], without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The Principal irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within [County] County, [State].
SECTION 9: SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this power of attorney is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable. The remaining provisions of this instrument shall remain in full force and effect and shall not be affected, impaired, or invalidated.

5. STEP-BY-STEP EXECUTION & FILING GUIDE
- Document Customization: Open this document in Microsoft Word or Google Docs. Perform a global search and replace for all bracketed terms (e.g.,
[Client Full Legal Name],[State],[Effective Date]) with the accurate, legal particulars of the Principal and Agent. Ensure no bracketed placeholders remain. - Review of Scope: Verify with the young adult (Principal) that all desired financial, administrative, and digital asset management powers are adequately covered. If healthcare decisions are also required, execute a separate Advance Health Care Directive / Medical POA, as this document focuses primarily on financial and legal affairs.
- Notarization & Witnessing: Because power of attorney execution standards are strictly scrutinized by financial institutions, this document must be signed in the physical presence of a licensed Notary Public and two disinterested adult witnesses (individuals who are not named as agents or successor agents).
- Agent Acknowledgment: Ensure the designated Agent signs the "Agent's Acceptance of Appointment" section. While optional in some jurisdictions, it clarifies the fiduciary obligations of the Agent.
- Digital Execution & Copies: Retain the original wet-ink signed document in a secure, fireproof location (such as a home safe or safe deposit box). Provide certified digital copies (via secure PDF or DocuSign audit trail) to the Agent, Successor Agent, and primary financial institutions (banks, brokerages, university bursar offices) where the Principal maintains accounts.
- Periodic Review: Review this instrument annually or upon major life events (e.g., marriage, graduation, relocation to a different state) to ensure continued compliance with evolving state statutes and institutional policies.
