CRITICAL LEGAL ADVICE: This General Power of Attorney is a specialized legal instrument granting the designated agent sweeping fiduciary authority over the Principal's banking, financial, and depository accounts. 10. STEP-BY-STEP EXECUTION & FILING GUIDE

Follow this operational protocol to properly complete, execute, and file this Power of Attorney form to ensure maximum enforceability and acceptance by commercial banks and financial institutions:

  1. Document Customization (Drafting Phase):

    • Open this template in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or an equivalent legal document assembly platform.
    • Locate all bracketed text fields (e.g., [Client Full Legal Name], [Principal Address], [Effective Date], [State/Country Jurisdiction]).
    • Replace every placeholder with verified, accurate legal names, addresses, and jurisdictional details. Do not leave any bracketed placeholders uncompleted.
  2. Verify Signatory Authority & Institutional Requirements:

    • Prior to execution, contact the specific Financial Institutions where accounts are held. Request their internal "Power of Attorney Verification Form" or legal department compliance checklist. Some institutions require their proprietary forms to be executed alongside a general power of attorney.
    • Confirm whether the institution requires a Durable Power of Attorney (Option B) and whether multiple agents must act jointly or severally.
  3. Execution via Digital Signature or Wet-Ink:

    • Wet-Ink Execution (Recommended for Banks): Many traditional commercial banks strictly prefer or require physical "wet-ink" signatures combined with a live Notary Public seal. Print the finalized document on standard bond paper.
    • Digital Signature Execution: If utilizing enterprise digital signature platforms such as DocuSign or Adobe Sign, ensure that tamper-evident audit trails, digital certificates, and remote online notarization (RON) modules are enabled and compliant with state electronic transaction laws (e.g., UETA / ESIGN Act).
  4. Notarization & Witness Attestation:

    • The Principal must sign the document in the physical or virtual presence of a licensed Notary Public.
    • Ensure the Notary Public completes the Notary Acknowledgment section (Section 9) in its entirety, including affixing their official stamp or seal.
  5. Submission to Financial Institutions:

    • Deliver certified or original copies of the executed Power of Attorney, accompanied by valid government-issued photo identification of both the Principal and the Agent, to the legal or compliance department of each relevant Financial Institution.
    • Retain the original master document in a secure, fireproof location or digital vault, and keep copies readily accessible for operational use by the Agent.
